Being a female bodybuilder is a fun and competitive world. It’s funny because in almost any run of the mill gym steroids will be openly discussed between the male folk. Going a step further, men will even buy from each other (which I don’t condone the safety of.
You’re much better off buying from a safe website like this one), share bodybuilding stacks and tips and how to cut and gain. However when it comes to the fairer sex and the women bodybuilding community, they’ll have none of it—however it’s safe to say that they are using them.
Women don’t like to open up about being on anabolic steroids. I’m not sure why this is. Maybe it’s because it makes them feel less of a woman and “more manly.” It’s kind of like Fight Club, the one rule about using steroids if you’re a woman is you can’t talk about using steroids if you’re a woman! However, this makes it very difficult for the women bodybuilders who want to use anabolic steroids to differentiate the best anabolic steroids for women bodybuilders.
I thought I would provide a basic guide for those females who are looking for that “extra edge” to their training, and who have the desire to really improve their bodies. Remember before starting anabolic steroids, your diet must always be in check.
For starters, it’s obvious that women have a different hormonal make-up to men. The steroids that are currently considered as the “safest steroids for women” are Anavar, Primobolan, Nolvadex, Winstrol, Maxibolin, and Durabolin (NPP).
Even on low dosages some females are inclined to virlization side effections, so if you have tried anabolic steroids before and this is a worry for you, don’t use steroids, plain and simple. It is recommended that for your first cycle, you use a low dosage for a very short time to reduce the risk of side effects. For my first cycle, I got up to a dose of 15MG Anavar with zero side effects. I ran this for 12 weeks.
The most common side effects women experience while using Anabolic Steroids are as follows:
• Acne and oily skin (This is easily remedied with Tea tree oil, get some!)
• Male pattern baldness
• Lowering of voice tone (again, this goes in with virilization)
• Disruption of menstrual cycle
• Clitoral enlargement
• Increased hair growth on face, legs and arms
Positive side effects women experience from anabolic steroid use
• Increased feeling of well being
• Increased energy
• Decreased recovery time
• Heightened sex drive (I think this comes from the enlarged clitoris)
• Decreases in estrogenic fat (such as upper legs, abdomen, upper arms, ass)
Now for the steroids most commonly used by women. As I previously stated, the most commonly used steroids for women are Anavar, Primobolan, and Nandrolone Phenylpropionate (or you may know it as NPP). Let’s learn more about these commonly used steroids for women.
GP Oxan (Anavar)
Anavar (oxandralone) – This steroid is one of the most mild anabolics you can get. The androgens in Anavar are also extremely low. Most women who are fearful of side effects start with a dose of 5mg- 10mg and produce good quality strength gains, and very little when it comes to side effects. I recommend Anavar for any first time female steroid user.
Primobolan Depot 60 amps
Primobolan Depot (methenolone enanthate) – Primobolan is a favorite in the female bodybuilding world, as it doesn’t covert to estrogen and also produces minimal water retention. This steroid is also great for a cutting cycle, as it’s not dependent on a high calorie diet. Primobolan produces very lean muscle gains, however it is a “slow kicker” in that it’s slower to take a effect than some of the others on this list, though it’s well worth your time. Dosages of Primobolan for women run at about 25-50mg a week for 8-10 weeks. Side effects can include oily skin, acne, and increased body and facial hair, however the last one is usually reported at higher dosages.
Stanozolol (10 vials)
Winstrol (stanozolol) – While personally believe everything on this list is more beneficial to your health than Winstrol, as it pulls water from your joints and can make you feel very achy and really defeat it’s purpose. If you’re so inclined to choose it (maybe you have a competition coming up) I will provide you what you need to know on Winstrol for women. Winstrol can be injected or taken orally. Winstrol is a good mass builder and provides very good strength gains. A lot of women aren’t too fussy on Winstrol because it can cause male pattern baldness, voice deepening, acne and clitoral enlargement. Suffice that to say, a lot of undesirable side effects! However a way you could avoid these unwanted side effects is to make sure to keep your dosage low (5-10mg day.) Winstrol can be more stressful to your liver than some of the other steroids on this list, so make sure you’re drinking copious amounts of water. When your cycle is finished, run a good liver replenishing supplement such as Milk Thistle.
NPP 100 (Nandrolone Phenylpropionate)
Durabolin (nandrolone phenylpropionate) – This is also known in the bodybuilding world as “fast acting Deca or NPP for short. Female bodybuilder commonly use NPP. NPP produces slow and steady gains in strength and lean muscle tissue. You are also very likely to keep your gains with NPP, as you are with Anavar. Durabolin is only slightly androgenic, however it can produce side effects such as facial and body hair, but this is usually in higher dosages. The most commonly recommended dose for Durabolin for women is 50mg per week (25mg every 3 days). Unlike it’s longer acting cousin, Deca Durabolin, NPP is much less likely to cause significant water retention and masculinizing side effects such as thickening of the jaw line and deepening of the voice.
Maxibolin (Ethlestrenol) – This steroid is low in androgens and derived from the 19-nortestosterone parent molecule. Women who favor high anabolic, low androgenic compounds are fans of this drug. While not as commonly used as some of the others on this list, it is held high in those who have used it and it’s also very effective for quality muscle gains with minimal water retention. Dosages for women run from 5-15mg for women.
The list runs longer than you think for the best bodybuilding steroids for women. In prep for competition women will commonly take Clen and T3. When venturing into the depths further than this list things could get messy if you don’t know what you’re dealing with.
A lot of competitors favor Equipoise, Turinabol (which is very similar in make-up to Anavar and I highly recommend), Dianabol and Testosterone. Some are even using Anadrol, which at reasonable dosages is not as outrageous as you’d think. Most female competitors in the Olympics will favor Human Growth Hormone, NPP, Turinabol, Anavar, and Testosterone. In fact, most female bodybuilders are using Testosterone as their “Secret Weapon.” It’s not discussed openly. However, those who do, site Testosterone Propionate as their choice of Testosterone as it has a shorter acting ester. Injections are dosed at 25-50mg every 5-7 days.
